Jacksonville Veterans Career Fair Nov. 10: Paycheck for Patriots at FSCJ Downtown

CareerSource Northeast Florida and Florida State College at Jacksonville have set the 2026 Paycheck for Patriots Career Fair for Tuesday, November 10, at FSCJ's Advanced Technology Center downtown, the day before Veterans Day. A companion veterans resource fair runs five days earlier at Bethel's multipurpose center on the other side of downtown.

🔥 What Paycheck for Patriots Is

Paycheck for Patriots is a statewide November hiring push run through CareerSource boards. In Jacksonville it has been paired with FSCJ's fall career fair for years, which is what makes it the heavyweight of the season. Last year's edition on November 13, 2025, drew more than 100 public and private employers to the same building, and the hiring floor was described as dedicated to veterans and their spouses. No 2026 employer roster has been published yet, so nobody can tell you today which companies will have tables.

Geography explains the draw. With NAS Jacksonville on the Westside, Naval Station Mayport at the mouth of the St. Johns and Kings Bay just over the Georgia line, service members separate into this job market every month.

⚠️ Read This Before You Go

  • Employ Florida comes first. CareerSource says participation in all of its events requires a full Employ Florida registration. It is free but slow. Do it this week.
  • Who it is for. The organizer's 2026 listing describes the fair as supporting veterans, military spouses and their families. In past years FSCJ students, alumni and community members were also invited, but the 2026 page does not say so. If you are not connected to the military, call (904) 356-5627 before you make the trip.
  • Cost. The 2026 listing does not mention an admission fee, and past editions were free. Confirm when you register.

The November 5 Pre-Event at Bethel

Different event, different day, different purpose. The Veterans Community Resource Fair runs Thursday, November 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel Institution Multipurpose Center, 215 Bethel Baptist St., Jacksonville, FL 32202. CareerSource bills it as the Paycheck for Patriots pre-event and pairs it with community organizations that connect veterans to services and support. Use it as the warm-up: sort out benefits questions and finish your Employ Florida profile, then walk into FSCJ on the 10th ready to talk jobs. Pre-event details from CareerSource Northeast Florida.
