💼 Who Is Hiring, and for What
The organizer has published both the employers and the roles, which is rarer than it should be. Here is the floor as listed on the CareerSource Northeast Florida event page:
- American In-Home Care: home health aides, certified nursing assistants and registered nurses.
- Manpower: a vehicle driver porter (TWIC card required), a warehouse store room assistant and a warehouse inventory associate.
- Statewide Workforce Development: traffic control flaggers, a dispatcher and water truck drivers, the entry end of Florida road construction.
- Community First Credit Union: outbound sales reps for its member experience center, branch member service reps and Teller I.
- City of Jacksonville: part-time custodian, stock clerk and Maintenance Worker I.
- Allied Universal Security Services: armed security officers and armed shift supervisors.
That is a wide spread for two hours: a CNA, a warehouse hand and a bank teller could all find a table worth standing at. No pay rates have been posted for any of these roles, so ask at the table rather than guessing.

CareerSource requires a full Employ Florida registration for all of its events. It is the state's free job-seeker system. Finish it at EmployFlorida.com the night before, then register for the event through the link on the CareerSource event page.
Professional dress is required. And a few of these jobs carry hard requirements that a handshake will not fix: the Manpower porter role needs a TWIC card, the Allied Universal openings are armed posts that call for Florida's Class D and Class G security licenses, and the nursing roles generally need a current license or certification. If one of those is your target, bring the card.
✅ How to Show Up Ready
- Printed resumes, at least six, one per employer.
- Photo ID and your Employ Florida username.
- Copies of any license you hold: CNA, RN, HHA, TWIC, Class D or G, CDL.
- Arrive near 10:00. Two hours goes fast, and the free one-on-one resume reviews are first come.
